MUSEUM OF MEVLANA
Mevlana, who became the symbol of peace and tolerance in the Turkish-Islamic world, defended humanism as a philosophy. The first Sultanü’l-Ulema Bahaeddin (Father of Mevlana) was buried in the place of worship, which was used as a convent at the time. Then, upon the death of Mevlana, a mausoleum was built, and the building, which has been preserved until today, has been converted into a museum with later additions. The museum welcomes thousands of local and foreign visitors every year.
The tomb of Mevlana is located in the museum as Kubbe-i Hadra, and it attracts attention with its green colour. In addition, wax sculptures also take attention a mystical atmosphere.
