The Lycian walking path has the longest walking route with its historical and natural beauties. There are touristic regions such as Ölüdeniz, Kabak Bay, Kaş, Demre, Finike and Adrasan on the road that starts from Muğla and continues to Antalya. This journey takes 21 days. The length of the Lycian Way is 535 km. The best time to take a walk on the Lycian Way is spring and summer. We see the unique view of Gelidonya Lighthouse, whose pine forests and ancient cities were selected as the best view of Turkiye in 2007. The beginning of the Lycian walking path starts from Hisarönü Ovacık location in Fethiye district of Muğla, and ends in Geyik Bayırı village of Antalya. The Lycian walking path is connected to the footpaths on the Teke peninsula. The Lycian walking path is located on the Teke peninsula, with the Gölhisar district of Burdur to the north, the Mediterranean Sea to the south, the Köycegiz district of Muğla to the west and the center of Antalya to the east. Necessary materials on the Lycian walking path: A non-heavy backpack, meal, and water. It is useful to research beforehand the possibility of finding water on the road according to the track. We do not overburden ourselves. We can find water in most places on the road. If you have a few t-shirts, walking shoes, pocketknife, mobile phone and charger, first aid kit and any medicine you use regularly, you should definitely buy them. Toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, museum card, ID card, lantern, bag and sunglasses are the items you need the most.

If you do not see a sign every 100 meters on the Lycian road, know that you are lost. In this case, try to go back to the point where you saw the last sign. If you can’t find the sign, try to return to the nearest settlement. If it is not possible know that you are lost and it is time to seek help from the Gendarmerie or Akut.

Do not set out on the Lycian walking path alone, having at least two or three people is always the best solution for security and not to miss the signs.

Joining tours and walking this path reduces the dangers and the risk of getting lost.

The Lycian walking path is one of the top 10 walking paths in the world and is included in the list of the 50 most beautiful landscapes.
